Check out our Tū Meke Pānui Whakaahua mo hākinakina.
In Rōpu we had to brainstorm key words in english about our given hākinakina. Next we had to use the Māori papakupu (Dictionary) to translate the words into Te Reo Māori. Once we had proof-read and double checked that our kupu were correct then we set about creating these Tū Meke Pānui Whakaahua using Pic College. This was a big process we had to type our kupu, check our typing, arrange our kupu thinking about Whakanoho (placement), Āhua (looks) and key Kupu. Next we staged a photo shoot to represent our chosen hākinakina. This was a great activity, which required the tāmariki to take ownership of their own learning of kupu for our writing topic.
We have been writing, checking and re-writing our tohutohu/ instructions.
Kei te ako matou ki te tuhituhi i to tatou kare ā roto.
